CSCA Exam Preparation for Pakistan Students

The China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) is the academic-readiness exam Chinese universities use for international undergraduate applicants. Since 2026, applicants to Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) universities must submit a CSCA score report with their application. Pakistani students sit the same paper as every other international applicant — there is no separate Pakistani exam, only a local registration and network reality that this page covers.

Why Pakistani students sit the CSCA

CSCA subjects for Pakistan students

Pakistani applicants most often need Mathematics, plus Physics and/or Chemistry for MBBS and Engineering majors. Professional Chinese applies to Chinese-taught programs and is usually not required for English-taught degrees.

CSCA practice

Practise Pakistani-style short bursts: a 10-question timed set after each chapter keeps the 75-second pace honest before you sit a full paper.

Mock tests

Full mocks run on Beijing-time session order, so rehearse the same slot you will be given — a morning slot in Pakistan time is a different mental task than an evening one.

Past & reconstructed questions

Official papers are never released, so use reconstructed previous sittings and treat remembered answer keys sceptically — always check the working yourself.

Taking the CSCA from Pakistan

Online from home is the normal route

  • Home-based proctored testing needs a Windows PC — the exam software is unstable on macOS and can white-screen.
  • Set up dual-camera monitoring and run the official speed test in the announced system-test window.
  • Have your original valid passport and a printed admission ticket ready for identity verification.

Sessions run on Beijing Time (UTC+8)

  • Convert your local time before choosing a slot; Pakistan is UTC+5, so sessions run three hours behind Beijing.
  • Log in one hour early and finish every identity and equipment check at least 15 minutes before the paper starts.

Timezone

CSCA sessions are scheduled in Beijing Time (UTC+8) — three hours ahead of Pakistan.
